Did you know?

November last year saw the 40th anniversary of the NOW! albums. To date, there have been 116 NOW! albums and, using the same complex points system that Neil Warwick devised for the broadcast of the 1000 Number Ones on Capital Gold a few years back and, the one that was approved and sanctioned by the Official Charts Company, the same points system has been applied to working out which of the NOW! albums was the most successful. In a nutshell, the system gives a certain number of points to each album for the weeks it spent on the chart and the higher up the chart, the more points it received. There were bonus points awarded for each week it was number one. So, which album was the most successful? Well, here’s the top 20.
