John Stewart was an American folk singer who would have been 75 this week.
He was born in California and, in the 1960s, was a member of the Kingston Trio. He later turned to country music and is most famous for writing Daydream Believer which became a hit for the Monkees in 1967.
John passed away in January 2008 from a stroke, but here he is in Nashville singing Daydream Believer.
