This week Jerry Nelson would have celebrated his 90th birthday.

Jerry was an American puppeteer who supplied numerous voices for characters on Sesame Street, Fraggle rock and The Muppet Show. In Sesame Street, his most famous voice was that of Count Von Count, the vampire who like to count everything, he did that voice from 1972-2004.

In The Muppet Show he provided voices for the characters Sgt Floyd Pepper, Julius Strangepork, Lew Zealand, Crazy Harry, Gonzo’s girlfriend Camilla the Chicken and Kermit’s nephew Robin.
