A few weeks ago, Doja Cat topped the UK singles chart with Paint the Town Red and it samples Dionne Warwick’s 1964 hit Walk On By which was written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David giving them their first writing credit on a UK number one hit since Bobbie Gentry’s I’ll Never Fall In Love Again in 1969 – not Anyone Who Had A Heart as some scribes have noted.
